Sea Turtle Season
Loggerhead, Green Turtle, and Leatherbacks come to our beaches every year to lay their eggs. All three of these species are protected by state law which is why it's important that we work together as a community to help our marine friends. Hosted by our partner Dream in Green, the Ocean Conservancy will speak on careers in STEM, with a focus on environmentalism. Students will be invited to learn how their passion for the environment and conservation can be integrated into their future careers such as law, marketing, events, and research. The Surfrider Foundation will lead a volunteer dune restoration event in middle beach. The restoration will include the removal of invasive species within this unique coastal habitat. The Biden International Climate Summit is set to take place on April 23 and April 24. The Carbon Cities Neutral Alliance is planning a national campaign leading up to the summit.
